regrding 'copycat' allegations

which i'm only addressing because people have been making threats

some of you aren't thrilled with the charts I've been posting. that's dissapointing, especially since they are meant to help.

to those who have called me a 'copycat' and accusing me of copying someone else's pinhole charts without giving credit, please consider a few facts before making threats or name-calling.

I came up with the pinhole dot/arrow format on my own, on the day the pinhole theory was discovered by maria buenacosa in the facebook group I moderate (on 2/6/24). I created the charts because I found the photos people were posting hard to follow and wanted something more organized to refer to while I was out shopping. I posted them to the group on 2/7/24 and meant to share these only within the group (which is why they aren't as 'pretty' as the ones I make now), but they unexpectedly gained traction on reddit and tiktok, without crediting me or the group.

i'm not saying she copied me, but this other person posted a very similar version of my charts a day or two later, and because she has a social media following (unlike myself), those are likely the charts you're more familiar with. wanting at least some credit for the original charts that I made, I then finally posted them to tiktok and while they got a lot of shares and likes, were not nearly as popular as the other person's.

I'm going to continue making my lists and charts as a creative outlet to stay sane. NONE of my links are monetized or even tracked—I gain nothing from sharing these, other than the creative outlet. I'm starting to realize that I like creating graphics more than making minis, lol. with that said, feel free to use them or go ahead and use someone else's. it's a free country.
